On this page you will find links to other sites that will help you learn or revise your French.
This one is designed for kids in years 3 to 6. It's pretty good and has animated learning activities with sounds, songs and games.
This site is designed as a basic starter course in French for adults.
If you're year 5 or 6 don't be put off by that, it's pretty simple to use and the French is basic. Don't forget that if you visit France it'll most likely be adults you have to talk to and it would be good to get some practice in hearing them talk and learning the words they use.
This site now has a section for primary students and the link now takes you straight there instead of to the secondary section. This is really good and I had fun playing some of the games!

Do you know of more web sites that have free activities to help junior and primary students learn French? If you do, please send us an e-mail, we'll check it out and if we think it's suitable we'll add a link here along with a review.

This is the official Asterix and Obelix site. Try it in French!!! Most of the French is pretty advanced but give it a go and see how much you can understand. You may know a few of the words and the pictures will help to give you clues.
Please note well, this site is not suitable for dial up modems unless you have a great deal of patience.
The Language College at the Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe has some more excellent Hot Potatoes puzzles and quizzes at primary level. Well worth a visit. Lots of puzzles to do, some with animated rewards. You may have to experiment to find out how they work but they're good!
This is the website of a language college just outside Liverpool, It has some excellent interactive games and learning activities designed for primary students. Some of these should go well on the interactive whiteboard. Take a little time to figure out how they work first, they're simple but on one or two it's not immediately obvious, nevertheless, this is good stuff and good fun too.
Le Club Français babel zone. Interactive learning games for kids. VERY popular. This is now a subscription site but they offer a week's free trial if you sign up.
